Become a hive owner!

The Hive is where we keep our honey bees - their home.

Whether you are looking to buy a hive for a gift, for a memorial, or to just boost the eco system - we can help!

The hive contains everything that a honey bee would need to make it their home. Frames to build foundation, shelter, waterproof and an easily accessible entrance. The Great British Bee Project will provide all ongoing maintenance and repair at no further cost to yourselves.

The Bees that live in a hive will forage up to two miles from the hive, and pollinate a radius of 8042 acres!

If you would like to purchase a hive for the project, we will custom paint the hive with whatever colours you wish, have your name and message engraved upon the hive, and incorporate it into the project. You will receive regular updates on the hives progress - and should the hive have a productive year ( and not detrimental to the colony) we will post to you honey from your very own hive ( amount will depend on the colony, and we do not take off winter stores).

We will send you pictures and the location of the hive you have purchased, and you will be welcome to come and see it!

The colony within your hive will not only help to pollinate the local area - but we will actively seek to rear new queens and raise new colonies from it.

The Hives we purchase for you are Langstroth hives.

The button below will automatically take you to a payment page, where the amount is taken yearly - allowing you to purchase a hive for the project every year until cancelled.

Once the initial payment has been taken, we cannot offer refunds, due to the hive construction process that will have already started.

Once the payment has been made, we will contact you to determine the engraving plaque and colours you wish on the hive!
